Which dog accessories for a minimalist interior should I choose?

Do you pay much attention to what accessories you buy for your pooch? I will not hide the fact that I do. The aesthetics of the place I live in is important to me. This is why I choose dog accessories that fit into a minimalist interior.

I do not like clashing colours or structures. I value elegance and good design. If interior design is important to you too, I would like to tell you about some dog accessories that are perfect for space with a tasteful and minimalist finish.

Is it worth choosing dog accessories for a minimalist interior?

If where you live matters a lot to you, and you like to feel good about the space you live in, then, by all means, choosing dog accessories from an aesthetic perspective is the right thing to do.

However, at the start, I want to point out that dog accessories are primarily meant to serve your dogs, not you. Therefore, when deciding to choose a particular product, make sure at the outset that it will meet all your pet’s needs.

It is a mistake to choose dog accessories only considering our personal taste and not the needs of pet. Even if something seems extremely visually appealing to us, but does not meet your dog’s needs, you should not decide on such an item.

How do dog accessories make us feel?

As I mentioned earlier, for me personally, the decor of the place I live in is significant. Perhaps it does for you too, but you don’t realise it yet. Sometimes we subconsciously enjoy being in a nice, comfortable place without even realising it. Perhaps this is the case for you too.
If your dog’s accessories fit into the space of your home, we get a sense of inner harmony and order. In addition, knowing that you have chosen products that are fully adapted to the needs of your pet, you feel the satisfaction of decisions well taken.

I think that most of us, dog owners, pay a lot of attention to what accessories we choose for our pets. For me, combining my pet’s comfort with my sense of satisfaction from being in a nice interior is the best solution when choosing my pet’s belongings.

Your pet’s taste

Our dogs also have their own taste. This indeed manifests itself in a different way to humans, but a dog can still have a specific relationship with a particular thing. Pooch may evoke positive or negative emotions toward it or it may be completely neutral in his eyes.

Therefore, when choosing accessories for your dog, you must not overlook your dog’s preferences. By this I don’t just mean the right size or sizing of your dog’s clothes.

The colour of the accessories matters, not only for you, but also for your pet. You can find out more about this in the post answering the question – what colour dog accessories should you choose. In it, I tell you what effect a particular colour can have on your pooch and why the colour of his accessories is not indifferent to your pooch.

You may be wondering how you can know if your dog likes a particular colour. I think that every dog owner simply feels it. I can see it in my dog’s eyes if he doesn’t like a new thing.

He looks away from it and doesn’t want to interact with it. What’s more, some shapes of dog accessories can be frightening for extremely sensitive dogs. You can read more about what dogs are afraid of on our blog.

Which dog accessories for a minimalist interior to choose?

You already know why the choice of accessories for your dog should not be random. So, it’s great time for the most enjoyable moment, which is choosing specific products. I don’t know about you, but I get a lot of joy from browsing the offers of dog accessories manufacturers.

Buying a new thing is doubly enjoyable. Not only do I make my dog happy in this way, but I also feel satisfaction that the chosen item will perfectly fit into the decor of my flat.

Minimalist dog bed

A dog bed is one of your pet’s most important accessories. It is the place where it goes for a post-lunch nap but it is also an asylum where he hides whenever he feels anxious. In addition, it is such a large product that it plays a significant role in your domestic space.

Therefore, in my opinion, the choice of a bed for the dog is particularly important. It will become a permanent part of your décor.

For me, minimalism is all about combining colours and textures, as well as simplicity in form. This is a double advantage because the product is not only very aesthetic but also easy to use by your pet.

My favourite is the grey URBAN dog bed from Bowl&Bone Republic. It is both minimalistic and extremely elegant. Unobtrusive texture perfectly combines with the classic shape of the bed. An additional advantage is the wide range of colours. The URBAN bed is available in as many as six colour variations – choose, for example, a graphite dog bed.

Dog bowl for minimalist interior

When choosing accessories for your pet, one of the first things we look at is the dog bowl. Unfortunately, many dog guardians mistakenly approach the choice of a bowl for their pet, without paying attention to which model they decide on.

The bowl has a direct impact on your pet’s eating comfort. A poorly chosen one will rob your dog of some of the joy of eating his favourite treats. A very important consideration is the stability of the bowl. If it wobbles while eating, your dog will feel discomfort.

For this reason, I recommend that you choose a dog bowl with a wooden frame, such as the grey DUO CERAMIC dog bowl. This way, your dog’s bowl will certainly be much more stable than one made entirely of plastic. Furthermore, I personally think that a bowl made of wood will look great in a minimalist interior.

If you want to learn more about this topic, in this post we describe what a dog bowl should be.

Basket for dog toys

My dog had a tendency to scatter his toys all over the house. Since having a dog toy basket this problem has been brought under control. Keeping my home tidy is essential for me in keeping my space looking minimalist.

In addition, I chose a grey dog toy basket, which blends in perfectly with the rest of my home’s décor.

A minimalist interior combined with your dog accessories at your fingertips

Living at home with a dog doesn’t have to result in mottled prints, bright colours and a variety of forms. Manufacturers of dog accessories make sure that those dog guardians who like minimalist interiors can be also happy.

Is your home interior minimalist or is it dominated by artistic disorder and a full palette of colours and textures?
